The athletic division of Homenetmen in the Eastern United States has a membership of nearly 700 young Armenians. It sponsors local league competitions as well as major regional sporting events. Among these events are the Annual Inter-chapter games.

Team games such as basketball, volleyball, and soccer, as well as individual events such as track and field, tennis and ping-pong are among the activities taking place during the weekends festivities. The annual inter-chapter games culminate in a colorful victory parade and closing ceremonies attended by more than a thousand spectators.

Today, the games, in keeping with their solid tradition, encourage the spirit of competition and team cooperation, while instilling a strong sense of Armenian identity.
